The first (and only) time we went they were doing Rock of Ages. While I'm sure the acting was good and the singing was ok we couldn't see anything. Sitting on the sides of the balcony you could barely see the stage. I've been in theater and know they could have taken that into consideration and at least pretended to care that the balcony seats existed. You could see a pretty good portion of the middle of the stage (and the far side from where you were sitting) but they CONSTANTLY had very very important scenes happening completely off to the side. The sound system for the balcony was also neglected as it was a type of stereo sound (when someone is standing to the left those speakers are louder and vice versa) so if someone was standing away from us we couldn't make out what they were saying. And, while I know Rock of Ages is a rock and roll play, the music was INSANELY loud...to the point where you couldn't hear the singers and when we left we couldn't hear ourselves talking. The poor actors blew their voices out trying to sing over the band (which tells me they never practice with the band and didn't learn how to properly sing at that volume) all in all just a very untrained group.

Lincolnton is full of so many talented people. I'm proud to call it my home town and really enjoy our many festivals as well as theater productions and musicals that are put on and star amazing local residents.

I had a blast at the Rocky Horror Show. Definitely will go to more shows.

TL;DR sit in the floor seats

I loved the play, The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet!! Great actors !

Recently attended a play there and saw rock of ages, was one of the best plays I have seen in a while. The cast was awesome, all brilliantly talented!! I loved how they kept the audience engaged. Can't wait to go back and see the next one!
