I had to evacuate Florida due to hurricane Irma. I stopped in here before returning home. I was stressed from money being tight. I hadn't worked in a week and don't know when I will be working again(I cook in home dinner shows for ppl). So they were wonderful and gave me a discount so I was able to get my air filter changed (it was filthy), as well as my engine filter, and my oil change. I highly recommend this place!
It seemed to be going well at first. They honored my coupon, and got to my vehicle in about five minutes. Everything started to go wrong when the guy who was sitting in the little office eating Doritos went into the garage and talked to the technician for about half of the time the procedure took. Very wrong, indeed.
Needless to say, I am done with this location unless the management changes and this crook no longer works there. I got to thinking, this was only something minor they tried to rip me off with. Imagine if someone needed major work done, and the same thing happened but with the customer actually believing it. Good people could be cheated out of over a thousand dollars, all because this guy can't be honest. Too bad I will have to resort to the Nissan dealership now. It may cost a tad more, but if it means avoiding service like the kind I just experienced, it is completely worth it.
What a pity.
The people who work here were very rude and total douchebags. They tried to sell me things I "needed" to pass inspection. This is a place I would NOT recommend.
After my last visit, I got to witness how most of what made this location great has disappeared. The only positive aspect about the whole thing (which is why I give two stars instead of one) was the nice lady at the front desk. The following description details one of the most dishonest attempts of service I have ever experienced.
This is only part one of the story. Part two is where things seriously got ridiculous. Mr. Yankee said that my air filter was very dirty and needed to be replaced, and offered to do it for $29. I declined, and he condescendingly responded with, “You're going to ride around with a dirty filter?” From this moment forward, it was clear that this guy seriously wanted to rip me off.
This used to be my favorite place to get an oil change from. The past two times I visited the Meineke of Lincolnton to get the oil changed in my car, the service was quick, friendly, and they did what I like the most: do not mention the work they THINK needs done to my car.
Unfortunately, I never got his name, but he was a northerner probably in his late 30s to early 40s. He approached me and said that my brake rotors were very rusty and there were lots of hot spots, and went into detail explaining how the brake pedal will pulsate when pressed. Not only is there NO pulsating at ALL when I press my brake pedal, but I just had my brakes done recently by the best mechanic I have ever known, and he said they were in GREAT shape.
Staff is nice and they are good at what they do and fast. Me and my hubby dont go any where else.
As soon as I returned home, I popped the hood and checked the filter. It was almost completely spotless. I have attached a picture of the filter that Mr. Yankee told me was VERY dirty and required IMMEDIATE attention. However, the nice lady at the front desk told me that on the contrary, the technician named Jay was who made the note. If this is the case, he is not much more honest than Mr. Yankee himself.
Great service , friendly knowledgeable stuff , great place to take care of your oil change
